Stanley K. Smith was the Director of Purchasing for Expo '74. In his position he had excellent opportunities to view the exposition in its entirety - internal management and the external exhibits open to the general public. From November 4, 1974 until February 29, 1975, he was Director of Disposition, a position which involved the sale of unsold goods at a fraction of original costs to the public.
